June 5th, 2009 Shayne Callie has Arrived!

Yippee!! Here we are at the hospital. This was our nurse and funny enough, she turned out to be LDS and in our Stake, we just hadn't met her yet. Wonderful how Heavenly Father takes care of us. She was terrific!

This has become a tradition for Shawn, he plays with the contraction measure that is strapped around my belly and sees how well he does at faking contractions.
This is it!! The last time we are in a birthing room and having our own baby! Caitlin is taking the pictures. Jenessa missed the birth because she was up at Girls Camp.
She's here!! After 3 pushes, Shaynie boo is here!

Even though I have done this 8 times, it never gets old. I am always amazed at the miraculous experience giving birth is. It never fails, Shawn and I both cry.

Weighing in at 6 lbs 3.8 oz, Shayne has set the record for being the smallest.

About a half hour after she was born, Mama and Papa, brought all the other munchkins over to meet their new sister. We hadn't found out previous if she was going to be a girl or boy, so they were all excited to find out.

If you'll notice, Parker has dark pink nail polish on his left hand and he may be the reason I had Shayne today. He opened a bottle of nail polish and proceeded to paint his nails, the bed, and the carpet before I found him, it's amazing how quiet he can be (always a sign he's into something). After he got in trouble, I started cleaning up the mess and I had gotten down on the floor to clean the carpet. I hefted my 9 month pregnant self off the floor and went downstairs to get more equipment for cleaning and while there, my water broke. Needless to say, the cleaning was postponed and Caitlin and I hopped in the car to go to the hospital. Now, the question is, should I be grateful to him?
